2004-01-03 - 7:46 p.m. poems me and liz were writting these crazy poems today on (and off) the phone. we give each other topics and then hang up, write, and call each other back. crazy fun. (this one had the topic - "the music hallway") The muisc hallway looms ahead I know its symbolizing something But its too complex to say. You hear eerie voices singing static lullabies in symmetrical harmony. Its cold and common the darkness pressing against my aura making me withdrawl and shrink into myself. The music hallway looms ahead It defines itself with costumes And things we disguise ourselves inside. Through it all there's some meaning somewhere To figure it out you must have to be in chorus. -- ok the next one was supposed to be about laying outside but it didnt really work out that way... Laying looking up to the stars My eyes are closed, he's next to me Breathing softly, complementary to mine. His hand's at my waist and mine's in his hair. We're starcrossed and high in this suppressive summer air. And for once its all enough, the moment's exactly what i'd want heaven to taste like. Laying, looking up to the stars My eyes are open, he's somewhere i can't find Breathing is harder now that i'm not drowning. There's no hands at my waist and mine are holding each other. I'm starcrossed and high with this sick, cold feeling. This moment will last forever it's all i ever get. -- the next is about what happens after school... 15, 30, 8 shoes fall on my white socked feet im stripped of jeans and sweaters instead its spikes and spandex katie comes in laughing im lying on the bench with layne who hates it too the clock reads 2:50 its time to go yellow sweatshirts and cute beanies the health trailor is our destination make your way through the battle feilds of senior boys armed with snowballs one calls out "sexy" but words are as cold as the snow farner makes his points to a tiered, faceless crowd he blows his wistle its time to run must be track season. -- liz's one is never mind after all jakes a brat and needs on
